Challenges related to varnish, issues on the fretboard (such as deformations or misplaced inlays), among other factors, can arise. That&#8217;s why, as a luthier in my workshop, I provide prices for fret replacements that are individually and personally evaluated.<\/p>\n<p>I understand that each instrument is unique and deserves personalized attention. For this reason, I don&#8217;t provide prices through messaging platforms or online. It&#8217;s important that we assess together the condition of your guitar or bass directly in my workshop to offer you an accurate and fair quote.<\/p>\n<p>At Ramos Custom Guitars, we value quality and transparency in my work. I am committed to providing you with quality service, ensuring that your instrument is in the best possible condition.<\/p>\n<h4>Setups<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic setup (Neck relief, action, intonation, and external cleaning)<\/li>\n<li>Full acoustic guitar setup<\/li>\n<li>Full setup for a guitar with a fixed or bass bridge<\/li>\n<li>Full setup for a guitar with a Stratocaster-style tremolo<\/li>\n<li>Full setup for a guitar with a Floyd Rose tremolo style<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The complete adjustment process, including disassembly of your instrument, is thorough and ensures that no damaged piece goes unnoticed. Subsequently, it is reassembled with all components inspected, tested, lubricated, and replaced if necessary. Adjusting heights, neck curvature, intonation, and polishing frets and fretboard is essential after all the work. We conclude it with fretboard conditioning using an oil I personally craft, made from natural oils and free from chemical solvents. Additionally, we perform electronic cleaning and check for cold or broken solder joints. Your instrument is left in its best condition to deliver exceptional sound and performance.<\/p>\n<h4>Fret leveling<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Fret leveling on fixed bridge or bass<\/li>\n<li>Fret leveling on Stratocaster-style tremolo<\/li>\n<li>Fret leveling on Floyd Rose tremolo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At Ramos Custom Guitars, all fret leveling includes comprehensive adjustments. This is crucial to me because I want to ensure that the work performed is optimal and guarantee our customers an exceptional outcome. Some of our customers have even told us that our fret leveling is comparable to, or even better than, the PLEK process. Your satisfaction is our top priority!<\/p>\n<h4>Nuts always handmade<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Bone<\/li>\n<li>Graphite<\/li>\n<li>Delrin<\/li>\n<li>Bronze<\/li>\n<li>Tusq<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All nuts are crafted from scratch to ensure a perfect fit. We also offer the option to adapt a pre-made nut according to the customer&#8217;s preferences. Our goal is to ensure that every detail of your instrument is personalized and designed to provide the best musical experience possible.<\/p>\n<h4>Scalloped<\/h4>\n<p>As a guitar luthier with many years of experience, I&#8217;ve received requests for scalloped fretboards of varying depths and with different numbers of frets to be worked on. Most commonly, we do partial scalloping, either from fret 12 to the end of the fretboard or starting from fret 17. I must mention that performing this kind of work on an existing fretboard is quite challenging, as the frets pose a significant obstacle. If you&#8217;re interested in having a scalloped fretboard, I invite you to visit my workshop and ask any questions you may have. Together, we&#8217;ll find the best option for you.<\/p>\n<h4>Pickups<\/h4>\n<p>Have you ever considered recycling your old pickups? Have you thought about adapting them to achieve the sound you truly desire, considering that you know your guitar well? Guitar or bass pickups can be modified, customized, and improved. Here, I showcase some of the pickup-related work I do in my workshop, including pickup restoration. Feel free to inquire about this when you visit the workshop.
